Have you read Simmons report dated 6/28/2000 Underground NG Storage? I dont have the link handy.

But the storage figure is just that storage in caverns / reservoirs. These caverns must maintain a base gas that does not include working volumes. Pipelines I imagine work under the same idea. A minimum working pressure is maintained in lines and this volume would be the "base" volume. Additional supply would raise pressure and volume.

The deliverability issue raised in this report is a very interesting aspect of the report. From the expected storage start point with a normal Winter we maybe stress testing the entire NG production, storage, transmission and distribution system. Should I buy an wood stove this winter or not?
