Given the dire straits the anti-RMBS camp has fallen into, I'm sure they'll settle. Which is what RMBS wants anyway, but I'd like to see MU get spanked for their misdeeds.

Imagine if they continued using RMBS's IP and they lost the case, even 10 years later. They would pay a huge... I mean huge fee then. I imagine Mu's thinking is that since they have to pay either way, why not fight in court for a few years. Anyone know if RMBS would get a higher royalty 5 years from now if they win rather than just what they are charging, 2% for RDRAM and 4% for DDR? Any penalties for not paying?

RMBS is not in any dire straits. They have lots of revenue, lots of cash, and no debt. They can last this court case w/o any trouble. It's MU and Hyundai that are in trouble. No SDRAM, no DDR, no RDRAM, who will buy all that EDO...must be giving them nightmares.

Can't RMBS apply for an injuction like they did against Hitachi? This is a crucial question. Any patent lawyer types have an answer? If they can stop all sales of MU SDRAM or DDR, whooa nelly. Tell me who would be in dire straits ?
