After reading the news story I am going to contact my credit card companies. If they have no position on this amazon policy I am going to close those accounts.

IMO if AMEX, VISA, Mastercard, Discover were to refuse to do business with Amazon unless they changed this policy it might put pressure on AMZN to retract this policy.

Of course, AMZN could just issue their own credit cards, which they probably already have.

IMO This is a policy that Congress must pass legislation to restrict.

I do not want any information given out about me. I receive so much junk mail, catalogs, and phone solicitiations. I keep sending my name to the addresses to remove ones name from mailing lists, but the junk keeps increasing.

Yes, I think Amazon is getting desperate. This policy is gonna cost them! Look to see the stock drop on Tuesday -- BIG TIME!

Maybe Jeff is using that billion dollar kitty faster than he let on???
