Does it make much difference in our daily lives. Well, I believe that if the Congress had not rejected most of Clinton's spending programs, we would have a less robust economy, and therefore that the Republican Congress has made my daily life a little easier. But most effects are more subtle. I think that having a terrible liar in the White House makes it easier for people to rationalize lying. I think that having a sexual predator in the White House makes it that much easier to degrade women. Maybe these things will not affect my daily life, but down the line, it might make it more likely that someone lie to my face at a crucial moment, or make it more likely that my wife will suffer harassment.

Decisions made now about Social Security and Medicare, will certainly affect me down the line. Deregulation of the airlines benefited me in several instances, but lowering airfares. In the long run, lots of things that happen in Washington matter. I cannot, frankly, understand your attitude.......
