--Lithography sales rise 178%; tools total grows 112% in first half of
2000-- Semiconductor capital equipment shipments grew 112% in the
first half of 2000, compared to the same period last year. In
particular, lithography tool shipments surged 178%, backend assembly
and testing gear grew 121%, and ion implantation systems jumped 191%
in the first half of this year.
