There are several dozen ripe tomatoes, and I will think of you all when I eat them.

Got enough to send me a few?

It's September and so far all our tomato plants have produced are two hard cherry tomatoes. I only even try cherry tomatoes any more, don't even try the real things. One of the prices of living right on the ocean. Nice and cool all summer, but this summer has been too cool even for cherry tomatoes to ripen. And yes, we feed and water them heavily until the tomatoes form, then we shut off the water. Usually I get a decent crop. This summer, nothing. Ten tomato plants gone to waste. Sigh.

And the worst part is that I have no break from the store bought red cardboard that they call tomatoes.

Double sigh.
