Cosmic, I can readily see your logic. Since I believe that all humanity is by some degree, selfish and egocentric, I will discuss the statement that I made stating that evil came by way of man and not God.
Firstly, in dealing with Lucifer, the Angel of light, he was made by God and is said to have been the most beautiful angel in Heaven before he started thinking that he would usurp God's position in Heaven. According to the Bible, he convinced 1/3 of the angels to follow him and was cast out by the armies(angels) of the Lord.
Do you know why he rebelled against the Lord? Because he was given free will just as Adam and Eve, our first parents were given. Without free will to make our choices we would be automatons, always subject to God's desires. God wanted subjects who would follow him out of love. God did not create robots. He looked down the hallways of time and he knew that we would reject his love so his plan was to let his Son be the sacrifice for the sins of the chosen people that God gave to Jesus for salvation.
Well, I'm sure that you know the story so I won't bore you with the outcome although it is a glorious future for those who make the decision to turn their life and will over to the God of creation by recognizing what his Son did for us and believing with our mind and heart that he died and rose again, ascending to the right side of the Father.
I see much logic on this thread but no faith. You cannot explain the logic of the invisible electron or see the wind or understand why life is fashioned on renewal from death.
You know that energy cannot be destroyed but instead, turns into another form. Fire to heat. Heat to electricity. and so on....
It is like this with the spiritual energy of the Holy Spirit. You have to make of yourself a conductor that is compatible to the entry of the Spirit. Then you must throw logic out of the window because we are limited by 2 and 3 dimensional logic. What we cannot see, we cannot develop a scientific theory for.
Well, I am going on and on. I see that.
