OT E-Bay's outages were due to failures in their Sun Servers...not power. Indeed there is no excuse for failures due to power outages...paralleled UPS's and generators are used for critical applications like air traffic control, 911, hospitals, etc...definitely not rocket science. HWP almost got E-Bay from Sun until Sun decided to give the business away...I guess they know what their stuff is worth!
