[ADSL trials]
Bob and all:
I'm sitting here at GTE's ADSL headquarters in Redmond, WA., waiting for my guide. The guy who let me in is a technician who only understand switches, but he pointed me to a computer and said, "Have fun!"
It's been frustrating not being able to sign on for the past few days, but, hopefully, today will make up for all the lags.
I have a notebook of questions and will bombard my guide the minute she arrives.
Through the window from this cubicle there's a wall of wires that look as if they're lying on wire shelves --- yellow, pink, blue, green --- every color you can imagine.
Once I post this, I'll try some downloads. I don't know which speed I'm on, but will find out eventually.
I'm like a kid --- wondering what's going to happen next.
