I just got off the phone with Symantec and was told that the official release (I think they meant shipping) will be around Sept.13. Orders in hand are pre-release orders.

The cost for an Upgrade to 2001 from 2000 or the non-year version has not yet been established or announced. I was told that would be announced around Sept.13 as well.

The 3 basic improvements include:

1. Use on new platforms NT, Win2000, and Mil.
2. A one button checkup ability.
3. Automatic liveupdate. (that means fewer posts here..<g>)

I was told there were a few other MINOR improvements which they didn't even identify.
