dmf, RE: Just thinking that Intel has established some credibility with their guidance and wondering why the market is more than willing to act on Kumar's guidance rather than Intel's.

Intel's guidance has a significant amount of wiggle room.

Up until today, Intel's stock price was discounting an earnings report in the far upper end of that guidance.

Today, there's a little bit of doubt creeping in. YOu can accept management's guidance and still not want to own Intel at $75. At that price good performance was dependent on darn close to perfection. That no longer is the case.
