I understand TCOMA owns @Home. I suppose buying TCOMA would be like buying ATT prior to their spinning off Lucent. I don't know if they would spin off shares (as ATT did with Lucent) or not. Isn't TCOMA so large that you wouldn't get much bang for your buck?

I asked my broker to look into ipo. When he saw Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch he said if it's a hot offering, the bulk of those shares will go to institutions and preferred account holders - not much chance for the average investor. He's looking into it but says will probably have to hope for post issue dip and get in then.

I think its a great opportunity, I just don't know how to get in early. Hope someone out there has an idea.
