Here are the same-store sales comparisons for SPLS, ODP and OMX for the last four years. My experience in many years of investing in retail stocks has been that there is no more important number than same-store sales in picking investments. 1996 ODP: 4.0% OMX: 11.0% SPLS: 14.5% 1997 ODP: 1.0% OMX: 1.1% SPLS: 9.0% 1998 ODP: 3.0% OMX: 0.5% SPLS: 10.8% 1999 ODP: 2.5% OMX: 0.3% SPLS: 9.3%
