| You are confused. I am for a federal government. But, to perform the functions needed for all the citizenry. Things like a strong military, etc.. We should look at everything to break it down to its smallest common denominator. A great example is home schooling. That is really bringing it down to maybe just one student, taught at home. Recently, they had a national spelling bee. I was shocked to see that approximately 1/3 of the participants were home schooled children. Then, I learned the winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up were all home schooled. I also learned the winner had just won another competition in another area. (Geography, I believe) You guys want to retain a system that isn't working well at all. Competition will, hopefully, make it work better. When a person can graduate and cannot read or write there is something seriously wrong. And, that happens in our present educational system. I see young people apply for jobs with our company and they can't even complete an application. And, you guys want more of the same. Ugh! Dumb, selfish and disgusting. |
