Trev,
The IPO was priced around US$29, opened over $60 (actually would have to check thread to find exact $s. Closed the first day over $70. It took off along with the rest of the optical sector after JDSU/SDLI deal was announced. IMO the fact that the stock price has stay so high, even though it is on the Nouveau Marche, France's equivalent of our NAS, is because of their technology.
Even though I am an old lady, have been interested in technology all my life. For the last few months I have been following and reading as much on the sector as I can find. Not interested in the MFNX, IFCI companies. Am interested in the JDSU, SDLI, GLW, CORV, NT.
Also bullish on Cisco, cause I just think John Chambers is fantastic. Bought a little of your Canadian WIN, thinking Cisco might buy them. Maybe the technologies of the two companies are too diverse. Looked at Cell-loq, passed over a good entry point when it was under $2. Was looking at companies and wrote for info, they were they only responder -- was impressed by that, should have gone on my gut feeling. But we can't (at least I can't) buy them all.
Thanks for posting.
