UNISYS: New Unisys e-@ction ClearPath Enterprise Server NX6820 increases
performance by 50 percent, dramatically lowers total cost of ownership; New

with transaction-intensive r

SEP 6, 2000, M2 Communications - Blue Bell, PA -- Unisys Corporation today
announced its new Unisys e-@ction ClearPath Enterprise Server NX6820, improving
the high-end performance of the mainframe-class ClearPath NX family by
approximately 50 percent over previous models, dramatically lowering the
price/performance ratio and giving customers an optimal balance between
computing power and economy of ownership.

The ClearPath NX6820 system is ideally positioned to meet the demands for
continuous availability "24x7x365" generated by the increasingly high
transaction volumes required for e-business. The NX6820 leverages Unisys 30-plus
years of continuous improvement in high-volume, high integrity, highly secure
systems for high-transaction-volume commercial computing, for Global 2000
clients.

Many companies are discovering that conducting business on the Internet with
Web-based electronic commerce is causing a profound increase in the number of
transactions handled by their existing business information systems, and some
customers are projecting as much as a 10-fold increase in volume over the next
three years. The growth in transaction rates has led to an increased demand for
enterprise servers, such as the Unisys e-@ction Enterprise Servers, offering
mission-critical, mainframe-class attributes: scalability, availability,
manageability, interoperability and support for high transaction volumes and
large databases, among other capabilities.

Power, Lower TCO Draw Strong Interest from Customers

Fiserv, an independent, full-service provider of integrated data processing and
information management systems to the financial industry, will be among the
first to upgrade to the Unisys NX6820. "Fiserv has been a Unisys and NX user for
many years," said Larry Green, senior vice president Information Systems,
Fiserv. "The Unisys NX6820 offers the expansion capabilities and continued
software compatibility at a competitive cost. We consider Unisys our technology
partner and we're looking forward to the delivery of our NX6800 systems and our
continued success with Unisys products."

"We continue to see new growth for Unisys e-@ction ClearPath Enterprise Servers,
especially in banking and financial services and other markets demanding
mission-critical, high-transaction computing environments," said Kevin McHugh,
vice president, ClearPath Business Initiative, Unisys Systems and Technology.
"Unisys is pleased to continually offer new upgrades to its enterprise server
products, ultimately improving upon our best performance and price each time."

The Unisys ClearPath NX6820 supports the strengths of Unisys proven,
feature-rich MCP/AS operating environment, as well as the open Microsoft Windows
NT and Windows 2000 environments. Each processor configuration can be scaled
independently according to a customer's needs. Eight different processor
configurations are available, each with multiple performance options and an
extensive range of performance upgrade options. Customers' investments in their
enterprise computing environments are protected, because existing applications
can be brought over to the NX6820 without conversion and peripheral devices can
be added on with ease.

The NX6820 consolidates the previous NX5600 and 5800 families. In-box migration
options are available for previous NX 5800 system configurations.

The NX6820 is now beginning first customer shipments and will begin volume
shipments in mid-September. Systems hardware (only) prices range from
$4,900/MIPS (single processor, minimum performance) to $3,300/MIPS (10
processor, maximum performance).
