Erika Klauer, analyst at Deutsche Banc Alex.
Brown, said PC unit growth remains healthy and inventory
levels at PC manufacturers are reasonable.

"Moreover, we believe that the major DRAM makers have
kept inventories very lean due to strong sell-out and we
estimate inventory levels at about one week at most
manufacturers," Klauer wrote in a research note to clients.

ABN Amro Analyst David Wu said
DRAM vendors have observed a normal
seasonal pickup from PC OEMS in the
United States over the last month. He
said the DRAM spot-pricing
environment was stable.

What is real truth? PCs are dead or alive or growing?
