Posted by Jkinney on bullboards: MMI AGM First off let me say two things. 1) I seriously doubt that CPU15 influenced nearly 750k people to buy (and sell) stock yesterday. 2) Even though there was no formal announcement there were many tidbits that came out of the meeting that were extremely positive Phase 1 of beta testing is complete. There were minor bugs identified (nothing of consequence) and a number of usability issues. A number of areas that the TS team thought were very intuitive were not. As a result they have added help menues and splash screens to aid users Pre-release CDs (of Thoughtshare) will be made available to those attending the Knowledge Management Expo in Santa Clara California next week. THe TS team has developed a number of Thoughtmaps (I think Fred said 5, although I could be wrong) that will be distributed with the product to help users along. TS will host an open house for all of us lucky enough to live in Vancouver (or those that want to fly in) on September 22nd (time to be confirmed). There will be pre-release CDs available and demonstrations of the other TS products that will be available in the "Pro" Version of the software (6 or 7 other products I think). Fred said that the reason that OCt. 9 was chosen for the release was not because of problems with the product, but because of issues around having the TS website ready in time. One of the companies they contracted with has run into financial difficulties. As a result, TS had to find someone else. TS will be a go on OCt. 9th (that was confirmed by Fred as the official release date). It will be available from the TS website and ZD Net. ON the marketing side the new VP Marketing (his name escapes me right now) is contracting with a PR firm. No word on who it is yet because the contract is not finalized. There will be a PRess tour for Industry and Investment folks the week before the release. Finally financing. Fred confirmed that there will be a new round of financing in Oct/Nov. Dr. Miller will be working closely within the Investment industry to make this work. When I asked Fred outright what was going to happen with the 49.7% outstanding, he said that that was one of the things they will be concentrating on in this next round. Did he say it was definitely going to happen? NO!! Did he say that Dr. Miller was going to have that as one of his priorities? Yes. Overall I would say that the meeting was a success. No press release, but overall very positive. I will be lined up at the TS offices on the 22nd to get my copy and see the demos. Jkinney cheers, jerry
