Actually, Capt. K, everything you read yesterday was genuine. You probably will not choose to believe that, but that's your call to make. After I signed off last night, I sat exhausted in my chair from fending off round after round of mean-spirited attacks ... and then the personal e-mails started coming in. One after another. Some were from people who never post on this thread. Some were actually from people on the other side of the aisle who said we need a little balance on this board. They all said the same thing: "Keep fighting for the little guy" ... "The working men and women of America are behind you" ... "We're behind you 100 percent." After sleeping on the matter, I decided to return today, although on a scaled-back basis. I'm doing it to give the "working man and working woman" a voice. As you have seen today, most of my posts have been reprints of attributed stories and attributed erudite analysis. I don't intend to get involved in any more running battles with the right-wing attack dogs. These battles always end the same: name-calling and personal animosity. This board should be about dissecting the issues, not dissecting the foe.
