do you think the houses are taking down the techs NOW
in preparation for the end of year rally?

if so, then this takedown might descend further than we imagine
like to the early August lows of 3650 or so

I tend to doubt it
since they can get one solid rally this Sept/Oct
then take it down in 6-8 weeks AGAIN
Dow is within spitting distance of old highs
so perhaps tech cannibals will chew on Dow bones soon?

I find the news media to be asleep at the wheel
around Aug15th Goldman Sachs issued a strong reco for the chip sector
they are the premier brokerage house among researchers
they provide a home for AbbyJo Cohen

now some dipshit Piper Jaffray issues a downgrade for Intel
they cite slower PC chip sales toward end of this year's cycle

well, who do we believe: GoldMan or PopooJeffie ???

CNBC never connects the two events
as a news journalist, I would question the integrity of such reports
I would ask what relationship PJaff has with larger houses
or is that whole angle taboo?

perhaps the chip sector just fell apart in the last three weeks

what is your take, RRick, on the chip sector story and the number of potential rallies by yearend

thank you, and can you be certain no critters lie somewhere within your family tree?
