Supply is artificially being blocked from Iraq for domestic U.S. political reasons. Anyhow French truck drivers and farmers are turning intense heat on the French gov over this issue of oil prices. I truly doubt the Europeans will let their economies go down the drain to appease US special interests. Add to that the artificial suppression of oil development in Iran (also by US) and you can see that the oil supply problem is purposely contrived by the US state dept.
