I have covered all my shorts this year (ALTI, ZITL)
Have not sold my winners for over a year now. So I am down
from my all time record highs. But I have no problem showing
a profit on my tax return for 2000. I am truly afraid of trading
to often. Have accumulated more than a lifetime's worth of
unrealized capital gains. So rather than take a big tax hit
by selling , I prefer to enjoy life, hold 85% of my portfolio
intact and slowing capture my capital gains every year.

So my only real big loser this year is QCOM but since I'm in
at some $20+, I refuse to accept the terminology that Qualcomm
is a loser for me when I am up some 200% in a year.

I believe trading to often is bad, so long term buy and hold
is the best method for me, in so many ways. Hope I did
not bore any thread readers with my little personal confession.

All the best
Michael
