PROTEOMICS QUESTION: In June after the CRA announcement, AFFX issued a press release stating among other things the following: "We envision that our technology will be capable of the analysis of the expression patterns and polymorphic variants of an individual's entire genome on GeneChip arrays." From a layman's perspective I would interpret this as their intention in the future to develop tools pertaining to proteomics and related areas. Is anyone here that might be able to provide a technical interpretation of what this means? Much appreciated.
