Taipei, Sept. 7 (Bloomberg) --
Palm Inc., the No. 1 maker of handheld electronic organizers, ordered Internet connection peripherals from Taiwan's Kye System Corp., the Commercial Times reported, citing the company.
Starting next year, Kye System will start shipping peripherals enabling Palm Pilots to connect to the Internet through phone lines, the paper said.
Kye System is also considering developing wireless Internet connection devices using the ''Bluetooth'' technology, the paper reported.
Palm said in August it would unveil a range of new models and design revisions in competition with rival Handspring Inc. (Commercial Times, 9/7/00, p.24) |
