I bet the baby was sick, maybe nature's way of getting rid of the weak. I hope I am wrong and it shows up. Last year we had baby fox's, they were so cute. My daughter and I spent many weeks watching their antics. They spent the days in the sun sleeping on their backs, playing tag with each other... then one day no more baby fox's. I thought maybe they had gotten to old and gone on with their life of being fox's... no such luck. I found them a few days later in my pasture, dead, probally eaten by a coyote. We were very sad until I realized the coyote has to eat too, just the order of things, made me feel better. I love hummingbirds! Could sit and watch them all day long. Next story will be about my friend Mr. Peepe ( a peacock).
Thanks for sharing your wonderful animal stories!!!
