Well, if the dollar does not go down either, or demand for physical does not increase or miners do not consolidate & raise prices or the amount of cheap gold available is not mined out or Kuwait doesn't think they are getting enough money from oil(at $35) and decide to follow Islamic law again and call for the return of their bullion....
