RESEARCH ALERT-CSFB sees Intel 'demand momentum'
NEW YORK, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse First Boston analyst Charlie Glavin said Thursday he stood by his recent upwardly revised earnings forecast on Intel Corp. (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) and urged investors to look for demand ``well into'' 2001.

-- in a research note, Glavin said he believed Intel was approaching 35 million in committed processor shipments for the third quarter, with about three weeks left in the period.

-- said recent Wall Street concerns about Intel stemmed from ``normal'' seasonal trends and favourable product mix shifts rather than ``incrementally negative trends.''

-- maintained a rating of strong buy with fiscal 2000 earnings estimates of $1.77 per share.

-- shares of Intel were up $2-55/64 to $68-9/16 in late-morning trading on Nasdaq.
