CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 12 (Reuter) - An independent evaluation of IGG International Inc's lead carbohydrate-based anti-fungal compound CAN-296 found the product to be very promising, IGG said Monday. It said Jack Sobel, chief of infectious disease at Harper Hospital and professor of medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine, had described CAN-296 as a compound with enormous potential. MORE Rtr 10:27 05-12-97 That's the latest as far as I know, Rocket. My guess is simply that the company is gaining some following and they have not had one announced set-back to date. They are just steamrolling ahead. I'm really quite pleased with the progress. I'm particularly interested in GBC-590. The patients have tolerated it very well, and the next phase is to administer higher, medicinal dosages. 'Really looking forward to more news on that.
