You could be right, but I'd be willing to bet that it's closer to 2 than 3. Also, right now, a lot of the bigger ones, i.e., 4-ways and 8-ways, are going out with as few as one processor because of the shortage of 700 MHz big-cache Xeons. I hope Intel has that at top priority. OTOH, I'd hate to lower the P4, or Itanium, or Tualitin (sp?). Lots of irons in the fire. Back to the servers, the bigger ones that go out with just one, or two processors, generally get upgraded later when processors become available.
