Niceguy,

re: "But all other things aren't equal...One major difference has to do with current growth rate, where AMD's is about 3 or 4 times that of INTC"

What growth rate are you talking about? Revenue, earnings, last quarter over previous quarter, last two years over previous two years, five year compounded?

re: "How does that $1.77 compare with AMD's fiscal 2000 of eps estimate of $3.50??? All other things equal, if INTC is $70, AMD should be $140"

General Motors earned almost $9 per share over the last 12 months, by your reckoning, it should sell north of $360. (currently $76). Different companies, different perceptions. Same as Intel and AMD.

Will AMD earn respect from the street, I sure hope so, as I own the stock.

Why do YOU think AMD is so cheap? Oh yea, it's the stupid investment community, they doesn't know how to value companies. AMD, on any given day, sells for what thousands of folks are willing to buy or sell it for, based on their perception of risk and reward. To complain about that is like complaining about the weather, it doesn't change anything.
