NEW YORK, Sept 7 (Reuters) - California and Nevada supermarket owner Ralphs Grocery Co., a

The partnership, which takes effect Thursday with no money changing hands, lets Ralphs' customers
go onto the priceline.com or Ralphs Web site to bid for supermarket goods from Ralphs stores.
Customers can then visit Ralphs-owned stores and present their grocery list with negotiated prices.

Los Angeles-based Ralphs owns 450 supermarket in California and Nevada operating under the names
Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Cala Foods and Bell Markets, Food Co. and PriceRite.

Priceline WebHouse Club has an average of 2 million different grocery items priced each week, Ralphs
