Niceguy,

I think the hard thing for the street is to project the growth over the last three quarters into the future. True, the YOY quarterly growth was great, but the sequential growth rate 4th to 1st to 2nd quarter hasn't been spectacular (seasonal is part of that). Some might think that AMD had plateaued, that the large percentage growth was behind them. And even you might admit that the growth is decelerating, that 2001 over 2000 growth will be less than 2000 over 1999. Coupled with a checkered history, I can understand why AMD doesn't have the same PE as most of the other semiconductor companies.

But I believe that if AMD can put up steady increases in revenue and profit through the 4th quarter report the stock be rewarded with a higher PE, and on higher earnings. Let's both hope the demand holds up, that will have more to do with AMD's stock price than the competitive situation with Intel.
