This deal was put together to get Franco-Nevada out of their investment with a profit.

The cash component of the deal is low and the warrants may be less valuable than lottery tickets. It would be nice to have Inco elaborate on the "conflict of interest" that they perceive between the two classes of shareholder!!! The existence of the VBN shares make's restoring the dividend more difficult for Inco. That makes Inco weaker compared to Falconbridge and Sherritt.

Franco-Nevada getting out seems to indicate that the development of Voisey's Bay isn't going to happen sooner than later.

Who knows what the "thinking" is in St.John's? From all indications, Tobin is just as happy not having the mine developed so that he can dust the issue off from time to time to serve his political ends. The gullible electorate seems to delight at the notion that they are exploited.

It's unlikely that Inco will get 90% of the shares tendered with this offer.
