I realize I remain incredibly neglectful of this thread (day job gets in the way). Just needed to comment on the wild speculation following the appearance of this article newscientist.com My take home message is my standard fare - getting these cells to revert to their progenitor state is a very small part of the science here. There real task will be 'regrowing' the cells to suit ones needs - with the associated massive problem of anatomically correct reintroduction into the CNS. Cocktails do NOT work equally well in both directions (severe understatement).
