Drew,

There are other analysts who have been even more dramatically and consistently wrong on the entire direction of the stock market for the past five years, and they are still paraded endlessly on CNBC as "experts", specially on down days. The likes of Byron Wien, Barton Biggs, and Gale Dudack (who was on even today!)come to mind.

Blame CNBC and the media in general for this lack of accountability. Kumar may have been wrong on GTW in the past, but he's been both right and wrong on Intel and Dell in the past too, whereas the analysts above had remained stubbornly and consistently wrong, and would have investors sit out the best market in decades!

I think CNBC should state every analyst's track record every time they are interviewed, and let the viewers/investors/traders decide for themselves if they have any credibility. But then that would be just too fair, I guess.

Sam
