The longs thus far have had the upper hand on this one. $32,500 invested in JNPR at the end of the 1st day IPO, would have been worth approximately $1,296,000.

Just curious how you came up with that figure?

The stock closed at $98.75 on June 25th of 1999 on the IPO day. It traded that day up to $106 and as low as $94 before settling in at $98 and change at the close.

Using your $32,500 figure, that would have snagged 329 shares at the close. With the 3 for 2 and 2 for 1 splits this year, today's number of shares would total 1,974 shares. At a share price of $215, that works out to a market value of $424,410. That's certainly not a bad return to date by any stretch of the imagination, but I was wondering how you calculated your $1.3 M figure....
