Hi all - Ken, if you look at the stock price of the alpha wolves of the telecom services, like T, WCOM etc etc, or even the young turks like Q and GLBX, saying they are in trouble is way behind the curve. It could very well be the bottoming signal :)! The thing is that they need to cut cost --- and more importantly, boost productivity. Q laying off 11,000 people can only save so much of the bottomline. To boost both the top and bottom lines, they need to get rid of the inefficiencies in the infrastructures. Delay purchasing is actual counterproductive. Bear in mind, they are vying for customers, and they are unlikely to get more if the customers keep getting busy signals!
From the equipment provider's perspective, it is a dog-eat-dog world, whoever who provide the best price-performing products will be eating the intransigient's lunch
