Bosco, LU was never as international in scope as NT was and IS.

I am not sure why. Perhaps LU (when they were part of AT&T) were too busy supplying the RBOCS & also perhaps in the old days of Telecom, the Europeans and especially the Asians would NEVER buy from AT&T since they all had homegrown suppliers (ALA, Siemens, ERICY, Italtel, etc.).

NT was perceived to be a neutral company (from a neutral country...sort of like Switzerland of Europe).

Whatever the reason, NT gets lot more % of their business from Europe and Asia then LU.

CSCO of course isn't even in the infrastructure game outside of US -- especially in the wireless arena.

NT is making good advances in the UMTS 3G technology and they appear to be trying to leverage their expertise in optics (as well as wireless) to gain a strong foothold into the humoungous capital that is going to be invested into the wireless broadband data market that every operator is jumping into.

As I have said before, NT is hitting all the sweet spots. Yes their valuation has gone up substantially but I don't think we have hit the peak by any stretch yet. I see another double within a year or two -- then I may think of cashing out.
