Merlin,
Re: Handheld Game - WAP - Palm - Windows CE

Presumably you use YOUR mobile phone to download Red Herring (saves trees) to your Palm or CE device via AvantGo?
Just thought I'd mention that Red Herring was just added as an AvantGo channel.
When I travel. I connect to AvantGo each morning and download WSJ,USA Today, TheStreet.com, Business Week, NYT- Tech, Fox Sports, ZDNet, CNET, InfoWorld, Upside, Wired, Red Herring, Mercury, NYT technology, StockTracker, maps, weather, et al.
Never without something current to read on plane, train cab, or break.
Actually a Palm is not necessary. You can access AvantGo with a With a web-enabled (WAP) phone, although I am not to into reading the news on a 5 line 14 character display.
We concern ourselves much with speed of data transmission. Here in the states CDPD is faster than CDMA which is faster than GSM, but none of them particularly brisk by year 2000 standards. AvantGo uses advanced data optimization, and data compression, and we are talking brisk. You fetch the data you want briskly, and you read it off line. No graphics, just the meat.
The wireless voice and DATA tornado is right around the corner.
We will know when it arrives, when you stop killing trees.
Best part of AvantGo. It is free.
