I agree with your analysis. I like reading G because he is thought provoking, and has creative ideas. But often I start really thinking about what he is saying and realize that it is off the mark. Electronic routers is a case in point. Optical routers are so far off, it is absurd to even think about them now. Yeah, I know all about the MEMS mirror tech, but that is a far far cry from optical routing. Provisioning & Add/drop yes, routing no. At some point people will realize that. While demand for electronic routers will continue long into the future, they will become a commodity. HH
