It sounds a little like you're contradicting yourself when you state that "you watch how it trades" and then dismiss TA or supply and demand. There's a broker who has a radio show on the local station here who bashes TA or technical trading, yet with every stock recommendation, he is explaining what price to buy or add to positions based on his read of support based on past trading activity. Geez.
