To all: Home Depot putting an interesting spin on e-commerce: redherring.com Because Home Depot's inventory is stocked in local stores, Homedepot.com won't have a central warehouse. There's another big difference from many other online retailers: Homedepot.com's sales will be same-store sales, which analysts use to gauge the health of brick-and-mortar retailers.
