hi david

"Anyone have any idea what happened?"

yes. now i do. <g3>

this from netscape newsgroup....

"Communicator updates _IT's_ registry (Not Windows Registry) every 60 days. The Communicator registry is located in the /windows/ directory and the filename is NSREG.DAT .. There is NO interaction/update with the Windows registry whatsoever."

interestingly, i've recently taken to rebuilding the netscape registry (not as complicated as it sounds...i deleted the nsreg.dat file) in order to fix a recurring invalid page fault prob.

hope this helps

:)
