Gary, I've never owned AMZN for the reasons you cite. However, they used to be my favorite online merchant. Not anymore. If I'm anything like a "typical" customer, their new [no such thing as] Privacy Policy will drive customers away in droves. I'll never visit their site again, because by doing so it will constitute agreement for them to use, pretty much as they wish, any information they can gleen from me in the process of me visiting their site. If anyone cares a whit about their internet privacy, they should stay away from Amazon.com. jim
