Mr. Moto's report is out...he takes exception to recent, bizarre statements by two Fed Governors:

piraz.com

The Fed has tipped it's hand, to me if no other, at an attempt to keep the calm where inflation is the
topic. First, Mr. Poole on August 9th broadcast his notion that the Fed's anti-inflationary policy was
working. Now, this week, Mr. Broaddus has issued a similar statement.

Mr. Poole is a monetarist and often times a policy hawk, although he has also been occasionally
indecisive. ( Not unlike some other people we know. ) Mr. Broaddus is a monetarist hawk who
does not shy from speaking his mind. He opposed the Mexican bail-out and has issued strong
statements in opposition of exchange rate intervention. That both of the Fed Bank presidents should
issue unsolicited statements related to the success of Fed policy where inflation is concerned ... has
me concerned.
