Friday September 8, 7:56 pm Eastern Time Vari-L chairman, director vacate board seats DENVER, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Telecommunications component maker Vari-L Co Inc. said on Friday that Chairman Joseph Kiser and Director Derek Bailey have vacated their seats on the company's board, but will keep other posts at the company. Kiser will continue as chief scientific officer and Bailey will stay on as the executive vice president of sales and marketing, Vari-L said. Vari-L's board now has four directors, none of whom are officers or employees. The company was delisted from Nasdaq on Sept. 7. ``We hope to add new board members with additional skills and expertise appropriate for the challenges we are currently facing and we will look to fill the now-vacated position of chairman in the near future,'' Chief Executive Officer Pete Pappas said. Denver-based Vari-L used to trade under the symbol ``VARLE'' (NasdaqNM:VARLE - news) on the Nasdaq.
