Did anybody catch the venus williams/martina hingus duel.
Hell, I figured it was better then watching the end to a very RED day....and I was right. After the first couple games when Venus settled down, it was one of the best womans tennis matches I have ever seen. Venus serves that ball 120 - 128mph at times, and her power on the court is awesome. When she is "on" she is incredible to watch. Anyway, her and hingus had an awesome match. Martina won the firsts et and looked the better player. Venus had just started feeling comfortable at the end of the first set. She turned it on in the second set and looked awesom. Continued it in the third, but then at 2 - 2 and serving, she choked a few easy points. Hingus broke her and held for a 4 - 2 lead. Venus needing to hold serve for any chance, looked good, but all of a sudden, 3 or for cheesy mistakes and she was broken again to go down 5 - 2. Richard williams, her father, then got up and left the stadium thinking it was over. Martina had several match points, but venus held them off and slowly but surely it was 5- 3, then 5 - 4, then 5 - 5, then at this point with martina looking like a beaten woman, you just knew venus was gonna romp and she took the next to games and the match. Let me say this. Martina Hingus is not #1 for no reason. She is awesom. For Venus to come back...discouraged and down 5 - 2 in final set facing match point, and then steam roll the number 1 player says alot.
These williams sisters....like em' or not...are going to be awesome.
