The fact that the cop was a smallish woman may have helped in this case, he probably didn't feel threatened. No, no you have it confused. The nut case with the knife was an average late-50s year old woman. The lead cop (there were 4 cops in the room) that confronted her was a smallish woman that freaked and unloaded her pistol into the nut case with the knife. Speculate as to the reasons the female cop took this action, but I was proposing that a fairly well conditioned 200 lb male cop would have just overpowered the nut and not filled her with holes.
