Watching VSTR here...getting cheaper.

We have VSTR/Deutsch deal in focus/committee this week ,
ultimately this thing will go thru...

....Deutsche Telekom is 58 percent owned by the German government, Under U.S. law, any carrier more than 25 percent owned by a foreign government can be blocked from acquiring U.S. phone companies.

There's a couple of bills introduced now to try and make the FCC hold strictly to that rule of no more than 25% of another Gov't ownership in a US company...this bill if passed would ultimately be VETO'ed if it ever passsed.

So there is a little grand~ standing going on and the analysts seeing our lawmaker's unable to resist the a chance
to play hard to get in order to pressure the Germans to make concessions , but they are showing signs of opening up
their markets now...

This and the VRIO deal have been highly regarded and watched now ...and everybody gets into the act , including
our FBI needing assurances they will have assurances for access to
all Networks if they should need ... Big Brother and the new info-age! :-))

(another thing is a Gov't has an advantage in obtaining higher credit ratings to raise money cheaper for other acqusitions and purposes , giving it undue advantage over normal Corporate ....hell they can print money !
This is another concern here....)

VSTR getting cheaper here....been a good short given they could not resist tying it up in the congress...

;-)
