Gentlemen.

Though I am sticking with my prediction that Jones will prevail over Harding in the 9th round (as always, giving or taking one for good measure!), truthfully, there seems to be a bit of electricity surrounding this fight.

The Vegas odds, this afternoon, had Eric Harding as a 32:1 underdog. While I'm not the superstitious type, I find this interesting because: (1) Harding is a southpaw, & lefties have taken Jones into late rounds or decisions in his past 5 or so fights); (2) Harding has never been knocked down; (3) Harding is undefeated; and, (4) Harding is an extremely hard puncher, standing as tall and at the same weight as Jones.

Again: I'm not reneging or attemping to apply cushion to my prediction. I fully expect Jones to take him out in the 9th, though I recognize that the odds might be better of a decision - which I'd again fully expect to be in Jones' favor.

HOWEVER...I will go so far as to say that I think the stars are aligned to such an extent that, if there is a Buster Douglas upset (42:1, for those who recall 11 February 1990) destined for Roy Jones, Jr...it's going to be tonight.
